Kerala Looking for more tourists from Asia

Unlike destinations in tahiland and malayasia, the god's own country, kerala is visited mostly visited by tourists from europe and from america. Kerala tourism is more marketed and promoted in these countries and less marketed in asian countries. As a result of this there is less tourists from asian countries like china, japan, malaysia, indonesia, thailand etc.

Accroding to reports kerala tourism is taking measures to woo visitors from these asian countries. As an initiative to promote travel in kerala in asian countries, department of Kerala Tourism has made a plan to reach out to tourists from China as part of its steps to increase the arrival of foreign tourists especially from asian countries. Discussions are on with the central government to make this happen.

It is a question that what kerala has to offer for these tourists from asia. Most of the people who are coming from asian countries looks for Buddhist temples and places concerned with Buddhism. In north india some states receives these kind of regular tourists for years.

For tourists from countries lots of innovative things are there to experience in kerala. But what about asian tourists shall we offer houseboat ride, beaches, ayurveda what else? Can these things woo asian tourists.
