Kerala Travel mart to be organised on the month of September

The commercial capital of kerala cochin will be hosting this years Kerala Travel Mart 2008 from September 20 to 23. Minister for Tourism, Mr. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, has said that the Mart aims at bringing private and public sector service providers and tour operators under the same roof, which will be helpful for achieving mutual benefits. Kerala Travel Mart, the largest of such events in India, is organized jointly by Kerala Travel Mart Society and department of Kerala Tourism.

Dr. Venu V., the Secretary Kerala Tourism has said that 170 delegates from India and 65 from abroad have already registered for this spectacular event. Delegates from different countries like United state of America, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand and South Africa will be participating in this travel event. The registration for this travel mart has already started in the month of January.

As per government notification kerala travel mart 2008 would have 150 air conditioned stalls, 74 non-air conditioned stalls, and 16 house boats available specially for KTM society members. Around 500 international and 400 domestic buyers are expected to attend this Mart.
