Pathanamthitta Districts Tourism Potential

Pathanamthitta has one of the most tourism potential of Kerala which is to be identified. This small area blessed with the glory of nature has won acclaim as one of destinations for eco-tourists as the finest. The camp Konni elephant, a rare resort where you can go see detailed the life of tuskers, attracts travellers from different regions of the world. Now, Konni was chosen as the location of the management of tourism destination in the area. The Council will focus on the development of various tourist destinations in Pathanamthitta. The establishment of the Council will complement the tourism opportunities of Konni as well, it is planned. The cooperation of the forest department will also be sought in this matter.
A tourist information centre will be built on the banks of the river Pamba. The proposed centre would have an Internet cafe and a shopping mall sales for the mirror metal Aranmula and locally available items of manual work. Regardless of Konni, a center facilitating pilgrims at Ranni and a project to develop tourism in Perunthenaruvi are other priorities in Pathanamthitta.

The youngest in the area of Kerala districts nestles his head on the western slopes of the ghats and extends to deposits of low land rice around the area of Alappuzha.
