Kerala Tourism has tied up with holiday resorts and Mahindra Ltd. to enter the market and promote homestay accommodation in the state overall. Dr. V. Venu, Secretary, Kerala Tourism said that the agreement would provide an innovative solution for the growing needs of housing in the tourism sector while also ensuring the participation of the local community. The immediate focus would be on the UK which has been a key market for Kerala. This initiative would provide more than 350 classified but homestay accommodation scattered in Kerala under a single platform. According to director M. Sivasankar tourism in Kerala, the agreement will be a successful movement to woo the alert, independent traveler in search of empirical holiday.
