Kerala's Medical Tourism Venture

Nowadays the latest and the most discussed in Kerala is medical tourism with the state government appearing to have cracked the winning combination of fun and well.

According to anther tourism from Germany, Hans Nowak, “People come to India because of Ayurveda as it is quite expensive in Germany. Moreover, Ayurveda is done by doctors who are from India. Ayurveda and herbal treatments are the future of Kerala.”

In 2003, KIMS in Thiruvananthapuram had about 450 international patients. In 2005 this figure rose to around 4,700.

Medical tourism in Kerala

Kerala, India - The State Government of kerala is planning to conduct road shows and campaigns in West Asia, Sri Lanka and the Maldives to promote God's own country as a great location for the Medical Tourism.


State also plans to conduct promotional activitis in the countries of Europe and United states.



Last week government officials under the department of tourism conducted seminars discussing the prospectes and potential of Medical Tourism in Kerala and the opporutnites for the promotional activities in different parts of the world.
